1. Child’s Pose a.k.a Balasana
The Child’s Pose is immensely relaxing for the body and mind. It not only relieves stiffness and pain in the neck, but also releases built up stress and negativity. This poses stretches the neck and back gently but effectively.

2. Cat and Cow Pose a.k.a Marjariasana and Bitilasana
Cat and Cow are two very easy yoga asanas that can help heal neck pain. They involve stretching and lengthening the neck, and are quite gentle and slow. Together, they also stretch and release stress from the shoulder, chest, and the entire spine. Just like the Child’s Pose, these two asanas are very relaxing.

3. Seated Twist Pose a.k.a Ardha Matsyendrasana

It gives your neck a good stretch and releases tension from the area. It’s quite energising, and is also said to improve breathing capacity.

4. Fish Pose a.k.a Matsyasana
Next on the list of yoga exercises for neck pain is the Fish Pose. It stretches and gets rid of tightness in the shoulders, throat, and neck. A fun fact: when done perfectly, it can help you float on water – hence the name!

5. Corpse Pose a.k.a Savasana
Every asana session ends with the Corpse Pose, where you relax every part of your body. The Corpse Pose is wonderful for tackling stress, a common cause of neck pain. You could also roll a towel and place it under your neck while doing this pose. And try not to fall asleep! 😉
