Valerian root has been used for centuries as a sleeping medicine. Since it has a calming effect on the brain, it helps induce better sleep. So, take a teaspoon of dried valerian root powder and add it to one cup of water. Boil the mixture for 5 minutes. Strain and drink twice daily. 3. Lavender Essential Oil Can Be Used For Therapy.
