Periodontitis also called as pyorrhea is an infection of the gums as well as the teeth. Pyorrhea is a common dental ailment that people suffer from. It becomes an absolute discomfort when the gums start oozing pus. Bad breath, bleeding gums as well as highly inflamed gums are general periodontitis symptoms.
What Is Pyorrhea Or Periodontitis?
Pyorrhea is a dental disease caused by a bacterial infection. The gums swell and contain pus inside them due to the infection. One of the major causes of pyorrhea or periodontitis is poor dental hygiene.

Periodontitis Cure
1. Licorice Roots Are Beneficial For Bleeding Gums.
Licorice is a medicinal herb that’s good for maintaining dental health. So, take some licorice roots and grind them into a powder. Add a tablespoon of honey and massage it on your gums to relieve the periodontitis symptoms.
2. Triphala Improves Oral Health In Case Of Pyorrhea.
With a cup of lukewarm Triphala water, gargle twice every day for about a week. This will help cleanse your mouth and reduce the periodontitis symptoms.
3. Sesame Prevents Bacterial Growth And Soothes Inflamed Gums.
Sesame oil has healing properties. So, you can simply use it to massage the inflamed gums. This will help prevent the infection from developing into a cavity. And if sesame oil isn’t accessible, you can also use mustard oil.
4. Onion Seeds Are An Ideal Treatment Of Periodontitis.
Since onion is known to restrict the growth of any bacterial infections, you can either use it or its seeds to cure the symptoms of periodontitis. Simply let it sit in your mouth till the saliva starts to drip. Do not eat the onion or swallow the seeds.
5. Babul Is Effective For Curing Bleeding Gums.
Use some babul tree bark in place of your regular toothpaste to cure bleeding gums. Simply chew it every day and you’ll see a difference. Another remedy is to burn a piece of babul wood and use the charcoal with some rock salt and roasted alum in 5:1:1 ratio. Add a little water to form a paste and apply it to the bleeding gums.
