Add 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds to a litre of water. Boil it for 30 minutes and then strain the mixture. Cool it down, and then drink it. This is accepted as one of the most effective remedies.
2. White Rice Water
Another widely used Ayurvedic treatment for leucorrhoea is white rice water. Simply add a cup of rice to a litre of water and bring it to a boil. Once the rice cooks, strain out the water into a cup. Add a bit of jaggery for taste (optional) and cool the mixture down. Then, drink it. Easy peasy!
3. Coriander
Coriander relieves the symptoms of leucorrhoea as well as reduces the levels of toxins in the body. With a doctor’s approval, you can try taking coriander supplements. You could also make coriander water, a remedy that is supposed to produce positive results in just a matter of weeks. Soak 10 grams of dry coriander seeds in equal quantity of water overnight. Drink this water the following morning on an empty stomach.
4. Indian Gooseberry Powder
Also called ‘amla’, Indian gooseberry is often used for leucorrhoea treatment in Ayurveda. It’s one of the richest sources of vitamin C, an important antioxidant to ward of infections. You’ll need a teaspoon of dried gooseberry powder and another spoon of honey. Add both to a glass of milk or water and drink it daily. Another remedy is to mix equal parts of dried amla powder and liquorice powder with thrice as much honey. Take this mixture daily.
5. Bananas
As we mentioned earlier, leucorrhoea brings along symptoms like fatigue and weakness. If you’ve been experiencing these, bananas will bring relief. Everyday, simply crush a ripe banana and eat it with a bit of honey – do this every morning on an empty stomach.
