Hibiscus is a beautiful fragrant flower that’s commonly found in India, but is also a culinary delight in various international cuisines. You can find it in red, yellow as well as orange. The hibiscus flower has tremendous health benefits for the human body. It prevents hair loss, improves blood circulation, treats liver disorders, and also relieves constipation. But, what are the hibiscus benefits to aid your beauty? Let’s find out!
Hibiscus Flower Benefits
1. Improves your Complexion
To improve your skin tone, add around 5-6 hibiscus flower petals in about 50 ml hot water. Let it steep for an hour. Strain the solution, add a tsp honey and drink the water. Upon regular consumption, the drink will enhance your complexion.
2. Maintains Youthfulness
Take around 10 – 12 hibiscus flower petals and mash them to apply on your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes and clean with cool water. Hibiscus is loaded with Vitamin C that helps cleanse your pores, boosts the production of collagen, and finally gives you youthful, radiating skin.
3. Prevents Premature Greying Of Hair
Take a red hibiscus flower and crush it finely. Blend it with some henna powder along with lime tea to form a paste. Let the mix rest overnight in an iron vessel and fully absorb the nutrients. The next morning, add some curd to the paste and make it thick. Apply this to your hair and let the ingredients work on your hair for at least the next 3 hours. Once done, rinse, repeat weekly and notice the difference!
4. Provides Nourishment To The Hair
Extract the juice of hibiscus flower along with the hibiscus leaves and its root. Dilute the same with some amla extracts and use in place of your regular shampoo. It not only acts as a mild hair cleanser but will also condition your hair and provide it with the needed nourishment.
5. Can Be Used As A Lip Balm
Crush some hibiscus flower petals and give it a paste-like consistency. Add a tsp coconut oil and store it somewhere at the room temperature. Once the mix solidifies, apply it to your lips like a lip balm. It will keep your lips moisturized and restore their natural look. This remedy will also help treat dry and chapped lips.
