Excessive sweating is a pretty subjective condition. Environment, stress levels as well as ventilation systems play a major role before you term it as a sweating sickness. Hyperhidrosis can be the reason too. It isn’t fatal, but it surely interferes with your daily routine. It affects your living quality and deteriorates the skin health over the time. You might probably sweat throughout the time regardless of the climate or mood. Few triggers (hyperhidrosis causes) may lead to some really annoying symptoms, but the hyperhidrosis treatment is easy. You can opt for natural remedies.
Ayurvedic Perspective
Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating disorder results from an aggravated pitta as well as kapha. Pitta leads to extreme heat accumulation and kapha increases the water content in your body. So, here’s what happens – vitiated pitta disturbs the sweat carrying channels which causes kapha to release more water to reduce the heat. And hence the condition arises.
What Are The Hyperhidrosis Causes?
- Antiperspirants
- Medications
- Overactive sweat glands
- Hormonal imbalances
- Obesity
- Menopause
- Diabetes
- Hereditary
What Are The Hyperhidrosis Symptoms?
Frequent and excessive sweating is the one and only major sign of hyperhidrosis. You may blame the weather or anxious feelings, but if you keep sweating even otherwise, it’s a cause for concern. If sweaty face, armpits, hands, as well as feet are a usual scenario, pay attention to the symptoms – it may be a sweating sickness.
Hyperhidrosis Treatment
1. Pacify Aggravated Pitta.
People with a predominant or vitiated pitta naturally sweat more. So, take measures to calm the condition.
- Soak 20 raisins overnight and have them the next morning on an empty stomach.
- Soak some coriander seeds in a glass of water overnight and drink the water next morning.
- Twice daily, have a tsp of amla powder with ghee.
2. Manage Your Stress.
An anxious mind leads to a troubled body. Stress disturbs the body’s normal functioning and shows up in the form of profuse sweating. So, practise meditation and yoga to minimise stress. And, massage your head with the cooling herb Brahmi oil every day.
3. Take Care Of Your Diet.
Limit the consumption of alcohol. Avoid spicy, fermented as well as hot potency foods. Have pitta pacifying sweet fruits like fennel, cumin, melons, and peaches. And, drink a glass of tomato juice every day to regulate your sweat glands.
4. Use Sandalwood To Stop Excessive Sweating.
Apply on your body a thin layer of coconut oil mixed in sandalwood powder to soothe those glands.
5. Jasmine Oil Is Beneficial.
Add around 10 drops of jasmine oil to your bathing water every day. This should help with your sweating sickness. Rose water and lavender oil too can be used.
6. Licorice Is Soothing.
Take around 2 grams of licorice root powder and mix it with amla as well as sandalwood powder. Add this to a glass of cold water and drink it every day to relieve the symptoms.
