Diverticulitis Treatment
Certain foods, as well as drinks, form a potent diverticulitis diet. Include these in your daily routine as part of your diverticulitis treatment.
1. Garlic Is An Effective Treatment.
Since garlic is known to have essential antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory properties, you can have it raw. In fact, eating just 3-4 garlic cloves a day helps reduce extra fat. It also improves digestion.
2. Coriander Seeds Are Vital For The Diverticulitis Diet.
To heal stomach ailments, soak one teaspoon coriander seeds in a cup of water overnight. Strain and drink the water next morning. Not just this, you can also use coriander while cooking everyday meals.
3. Castor Oil Relieves The Diverticulitis Symptoms.
Dip a soft cloth in some warm castor oil. Put this cloth on your abdomen and allow it to suck out the pain. Since castor oil has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, you can massage your skin with it.
4. Chamomile Tea Works Wonderfully.
In a cup of hot water, add 3 grams of chamomile and let it steep for about 5 minutes. Strain the tea and consume it twice or thrice daily. Since chamomile has anti-inflammatory properties, it helps reduce gut inflammation. But, remember to not drink it if you are pregnant or on contraceptives.
5. Flax Seeds Are Beneficial.
Since flax seeds are rich in fiber, they fit well into the diverticulitis diet. Take them every day to support faster healing. Prepare a dough with some flax seeds added to it while kneading. Mix a tablespoon of these in your everyday bowl of cereals. Or, simply blend them in your smoothies.
