Now that you have added those extra kilos on your waist, belly, and back, it is time to reconsider the common diet mistakes you have been making all this time.
Common Diet Mistakes That Make You Fat
1. You Skip Meals.
This one’s amongst the common diet mistakes that all of us tend to make – skipping our meals in hopes of losing more weight. But when you are starving yourself, you are more likely to stuff up mindlessly at a later stage. Instead, let your metabolism strengthen by having several smaller and healthier meals throughout the day. And consider adding these Ayurvedic weight loss herbs to your meals.
2. You Eat Outside More Often.
Dining outside occasionally does no harm, but when it becomes a habit, it’s the worst things to do to yourself. One of the biggest diet mistakes you commit is by eating more at restaurants. They serve meals for two, four or more in single platings and you indulge in excessive eating in the name of sharing.
3. You Are Reducing Carbs.
Deleting or aimlessly minimizing the carbs from your diet is of no use. It’s a common weight loss mistake. Some of it is actually essential to maintain your gut health, or else it can affect your digestive system along with the rest of your body.
4. You Are Going Through An Emotional Roller Coaster.
Sadness cannot be blamed nor can it be avoided. But, what you can avoid is emotional eating! Don’t don’t seek comfort in chocolates or cheese filled snacks. Instead, control yourself, tell yourself that overeating at such a point is dangerous and you actually need to talk your heart out with someone close to you. Perhaps try yoga for better emotional balance.
5. You Are Nuts About Nuts.
That nut love is okay for occasional snacking and getting your nutrient supply right. But, make sure you aren’t obsessing over those tiny superfoods. They can actually lead to a lot of weight gain. Nuts are dense in sugar and calories, a result of which you are more likely to gain weight.
6. You Eat Mindlessly and Quickly.
You are in a hurry to finish your meals and get back to the routine or you are mindlessly eating just whatever is within your reach, no special efforts are on your mind. But, neither are you going to shed your weight by eating at the speed of a train nor will unintelligent eating help. Concentrate on getting your portions under a control, get a bit choosy with your food and start chewing those items on your plate. Don’t just gulp.
7. Fruit Juice Has Become A Substitute For Food
Overloading every time with fruit juices and drinking them in place of your meals is the biggest diet mistake, in fact, amongst critical and common diet mistakes. Unless it’s freshly made by you, that packaged drink will merely be a mixture of water, sugar and fruit concentrate. Even smoothies, though incredibly healthy, must be consumed in a controlled amount. Beverages increase your calorie intake, so limit their quantity and stop replacing meals with liquids.
