How To Recover From Burnout
1. Disconnect from Your Gadgets.
Now this may seem a very tough burnout treatment for many. But there should be a cut off time for us to disconnect from those gadgets, and give our tired body some ‘offline’ time. Switch off your mobiles, Laptops, and other electronic devices once you are done with work. This will make a huge difference.
2. Get Enough and Proper Sleep.
Good sleep, like proper food should, never be compromised on. Our bodies are meant to rest to enable our organs to recharge, repair, and lessen their work load. Sleep helps us replenish all our lost energy and refresh ourselves. Make sure you sleep for atleast 6 to 7 hours a day and maintain regular timings.
3. Get An Ayurvedic Massage.
A regular Ayurvedic massage does wonders to relax as well as refresh you. Use essential oils like lavender, basil, lemon, neroli, orange, frankinsence, sandalwood, and ginger. Abhyanga is the perfect burnout fix, since it soothes as well as energises the entire body and mind. An enjoyable way to burnout recovery.
5. Take Ayurvedic Herbs.
Herbs do a lot of good to our body and offer excellent burnout treatment. With a doctor’s consultation, support your body’s recovery with rejuvenative (rasayana) herbs like ashwagandha, holy basil, shatavari, haritaki, guduchi, and brahmi. These are very effective for burnout recovery.
6. Cleanse The Body.
How to recover from burnout fast? Get rid of all the trash and eat properly! Unhealthy, stale, junk, refined, processed foods, too much caffeine, and alcohol can aggravate a burnout as well as hamper recovery. Instead, have:
- Fresh, organic, seasonal fruits like apples and lemons
- A variety of vegetables, especially leafy greens
- Herbs like turmeric, neem, holy basil, ginger, and coriander
- Antioxidant-packed foods like berries and pomegranate
- Water – plenty of it, at least 8 glasses a day, preferably warm
- Green tea and other herbal teas like ginger tea
7. Take Time To Meditate.
This is the one of the best burnout treatment options. Meditation helps us calm down as well as connect to God. Meditation creates awareness, clarity, harmony, and tranquillity. It helps us discover ourselves and gives wisdom to set our living in order. A path to a more wholesome life.
Now that you know all about how to recover from burnout, do follow the above burnout recovery tips and live a life of good health!
