Lyme Disease: Home Remedies For The Bull’s Eye Pattern Infection

Lyme disease is a very dangerous infection that needs a sure-shot treatment the moment it’s diagnosed. The lyme disease symptoms that are mostly flu-like. And the symptoms generally show up pretty late, which is why the condition goes unnoticed during the initial stages. A tick bite starts to affect your nervous system, leading to severe illnesses like brain fog as well as depression. When the infection spreads from one part of the body to the other, it hinders your sleep, leads to cognitive disabilities, and causes arthritis. So, depending upon the severity of your symptoms, Ayurvedic home remedies can be helpful. These are an effective lyme disease treatment alongside the prescribed medications and diet.

What Causes Lyme Disease?

It’s caused by a bacteria named Borrelia burgdorferi which is found in insects like ticks, mosquitoes, and spiders. When the insect bites a human, the bacteria passes on, leading to the lyme disease rash which develops in a bull’s eye pattern.

What Are The Lyme Disease Symptoms?

  • Skin rash on the site of the bite
  • Fever and chills
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Sleeplessness
  • Neck pain
  • Sweat
  • Muscle ache or joint pain
  • Nausea and loss of appetite
  • Mood changes
  • Forgetfulness
  • Headaches
  • Brain fog
  • Confusion
  • Depression and anxiety

Lyme Disease Treatment

1. Turmeric Heals The Inflamed Bones.

Turmeric contains curcumin which has anti-inflammatory properties. It strengthens the bones and relieves pain. So, heat a cup of water and add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in it. Mix well and drink lukewarm for an effective lyme disease treatment.

2. Licorice Root Tea Reduces Pain.

Licorice acts as anti-inflammatory and analgesic herb. It soothes the associated pain by relaxing the tension in your muscles. So, brew a tea by boiling one teaspoon of dried licorice root powder in a cup of water. Steep the tea for 10 minutes and then strain it. Drink twice every day to get rid of the discomforts.

3. Ashwagandha Is Beneficial For The Brain.

Ashwagandha is an Ayurvedic herb that boosts cognitive health and treats the lyme disease symptoms like forgetfulness and confusion. Therefore, take 500mg of ashwagandha powder with a glass of warm milk daily before sleeping. It also helps in getting sound sleep.

4. Ginger & Basil Tea Reduce Fever.

Fever and nausea are two major lyme disease symptoms. Ginger and basil are therefore effective since they are both antibacterial as well as anti-inflammatory. So, prepare a tea with some basil leaves and ginger juice to drink twice daily. 

5. Aloe Vera Soothes The Lyme Disease Rash.

Since aloe vera is anti-inflammatory and also cooling in nature, it helps soothe the lyme disease rash. So, take some fresh aloe vera gel and mix it well with a few drops of lavender essential oil. Apply gently to the affected areas for immediate relief. This is a potent lyme disease treatment.
