What Is GERD?
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a condition where the acid in your stomach flows back to the food pipe. The reflux keeps happening once or twice every two weeks. In severe cases, it may even happen twice a week.
What Are the GERD Causes?
The esophagus is a passage for the food to pass into the stomach. The muscles at the bottom of the food pipe relax to let the food and liquids flow. When the muscles relax abnormally, the stomach acid flows back up. This condition is known as acid reflux. This acid inflames the esophagus – leading to major GERD symptoms.

GERD Treatment
1. Chamomile Reduces GERD Symptoms.
Chamomile is anti-inflammatory which helps in reducing the GERD symptoms. So, boil a teaspoon of chamomile in a cup of water. Steep the tea for about 5 minutes and then strain. Consume it twice a day for an effective GERD cure.
2. ACV Is A Potent GERD Relief.
Apple cider vinegar aids better healing. Therefore, mix three teaspoons of ACV in a cup of water. Add honey for taste. Drink for a quick GERD relief.
3. Aloe Vera Juice Is An Effective GERD Cure.
Aloe vera is a natural anti-inflammatory and hydrating agent. Add a teaspoon of aloe vera gel to a cup of water and drink it on an empty stomach thrice a day for GERD treatment at home.
4. Include Parsley In GERD Diet.
Relieve GERD symptoms with the anti-inflammatory herb parsley. Chop a handful of parsley, put it to boil for about 5 minutes and then strain. Drink twice every day. And, make sure to add parsley to your GERD diet in any form.

Add fennel seeds to your GERD diet. The seeds contain anethole which soothes the stomach. Boil a tablespoon of seeds in a cup of water. Strain and drink after every meal.
7. Peppermint Cools The Stomach.
Peppermint helps release burning sensations from the throat as well as stomach. Therefore, add one bag of peppermint tea to a cup of hot water. Leave it for 5 minutes and then drink for GERD treatment.
8. Try Kudzu Root Powder.
Kudzu is a vine that has miraculous medicinal properties and is an effective GERD cure. Therefore, mix a tablespoon of kudzu with 32 ounces of apple juice in a pot. Cook the mix for about 10 minutes while stirring with a wooden spatula. Drink a cup of this decoction and store the rest. This will help boost your gut health.
