What Is Anorexia?
Anorexia in Ayurveda refers to aruchi. It is different from anorexia nervosa, which is a psychological eating disorder where you might develop a phobia towards food.
Anorexia is the condition where you lose both your appetite and taste. Eventually, the lack starts to limit your well being. And it can be due to several reasons – unhealthy eating habits, sedentary lifestyle, excessive snacking, prolonged stress or indigestion.
The condition, however, is temporary and can be effectively treated with Ayurveda. The formation of toxins in your digestive tract disturbs your digestion and the sense of taste, which further turns into a critical problem. And it is this imbalance that needs to be corrected.

1. Asafoetida (Hing)

2. Cardamom
Another one from the list of sure shot anorexia treatments is cardamom, a great digestive stimulant. It also helps to counter the symptoms of stress and depression. You can chew some cardamom seeds every day and feel the hunger hormones rising back up.
3. Warm Water
One of the most basic and easy anorexia treatments is cleansing your digestive system with warm water. It will cure the condition and help you eat right and eat better. Two glasses of warm water in a day will keep anorexia away!
4. Ginger Juice
